Vietnam-based game studio Scriche has announced the beta launch of its new mobile strategy game, Heroes of Mavia. Known for its game Axie Infinity, Scriche’s latest offering promises an immersive multiplayer gaming experience. The game, set in the fantasy island of Mavia, challenges players to build bases and compete for valuable in-game resources and virtual currency known as RUBY, which plays an important role in the Play-to-Earn economy of games.
Players must strategically place defensive structures such as walls, turrets, and traps to defend their base and protect their resources, while utilizing a variety of ground forces, vehicles, and air units to launch attacks on rival bases to not only defeat enemies, but also loot resources. Earning RUBY is primarily achieved through combat with enemy forces, which can then be used to upgrade various types of NFTs in-game, enhancing their functionality and unlocking new features and opportunities.
The early stages of launch will grant access to only a select group of Land NFT owners and will span approximately two months. Game builds are accessible through TestFlight for iOS and can be downloaded directly to Android devices. This exclusivity period will be followed by the main beta test for the game, welcoming the broader Mavia community to join without regard to Land NFT ownership. This phase will include multiplayer mode, allowing players to launch attacks on enemy bases, and the debut of a significant game feature called Alliances. Players will need an invitation code to join each phase and have the opportunity to win in-game rewards that they can keep until the full game is officially released.
The full version of Heroes of Mavia will be phased in through the rest of 2023, with a soft launch limited to certain countries, beginning November 2023 on Android and the Apple App Store. The announcement has caused great anticipation among gamers, and the beta launch is eagerly awaited.
