Axie Infinity Introduces Leveling System and New Experience Points
Axie Infinity, a prominent player in the blockchain game industry, recently made an exciting announcement. Through their blog post titled “Introducing Axee Experience Points (AXP),” they revealed a revolutionary development in the world of traditional axes.
The introduction of Axie Levels will transform these traditional axes into interactive on-chain NFTs (non-fungible tokens). This new system will allow players to enhance and upgrade their axes over time, showcasing their dedication, skill, and hard work within the game.
One major component of this leveling system is Axie Experience Points (AXP), which serves as the foundation for Axie advancement and component upgrades. Each Axie has the potential to earn up to 4500 AXP daily. However, this is dependent on the Axie being part of a team that has won all 30 of its stamina-consuming Ranked Battles.
It’s important to note that AXPs are linked to individual Axies and cannot be transferred between them. Furthermore, Axie Infinity has ambitious plans to incorporate AXP into various Axie experiences, including both games developed by Sky Mavis and affiliated titles.
The usage of AXP comes into play when an Axie accumulates 13,310 AXP. At this point, the Axie gains the ability to ascend and sync from off-chain levels to on-chain levels. Initially, this process doesn’t incur any fees. However, in the future, a fee will be implemented, payable with Axie Infinity Shards (AXS).
There are specific Ascension Points at levels 9, 19, and 29. As an Axie levels up, players can upgrade more parts of their Axie. Once an Axie reaches level 30 and successfully ascends three times, all three parts of its body can be upgraded to level 2.
While Axie leveling and AXP offer the opportunity to strengthen an Axie’s body parts, the true importance of AXP lies in its involvement in the “metagame.” Axie Infinity sees AXP and Axie Core as the future of web 3 games, aiming to take the NFT space to new heights.
The dynamic nature of NFTs allows for continuous improvement over time, and with the introduction of AXP, Axie Infinity is leading the way in this progressive evolution of NFT games.
As for rewards, the first player to reach level 30 with an Axie will receive a Japan-exclusive Axie. Additionally, the first 100 players to achieve this milestone will receive a unique Origins avatar and a distinctive avatar border.
Furthermore, AXP provides game creators with a unique means to directly connect with the Axie Core system. This connection can drive player engagement and encourage specific in-game actions. For example, game creators can reward more AXP for defeating more dungeon bosses to encourage desired behavior. To simplify the integration process, Axie Infinity is currently developing guidelines and requirements for third-party Axie experiences.
With the introduction of the leveling system and Axie Experience Points, Axie Infinity is pushing the boundaries of blockchain gaming. This advancement not only enhances the gaming experience but also allows for greater player engagement and a more immersive NFT gaming environment.
