The Sandbox, a popular Metaverse platform, has announced an exciting new VoxEdit contest in association with The Walking Dead, an iconic graphic novel. Fans of the series can create a voxel asset that captures the essence of the franchise for a chance to win a share in a prize pool of 15,000 $SAND.
To participate in the contest, participants must use The Sandbox’s VoxEdit software to build an animated NFT asset. The contest is open from now until May 14, with results being unveiled on June 3. The top 10 contenders will receive a share in the prize pool, with the first, second, and third place receiving 6k, 3.5k, and 2k respectively.
Participants can unleash their voxel building skills by recreating characters such as Daryl, Michone, and Rick, reliving blood curdling moments from the series, or building an asset that pays homage to a favorite scene. However, due to licensing restrictions, the NFTs cannot feature content from the TV series.
To enter the competition, eager builders must create a digital NFT asset using The Sandbox’s VoxEdit software. Then share a GIF of their creation via Twitter, being sure to tag both @TheSandboxGame and @VoxEdit, as well as including the #VoxEditWeekly hashtag, while also cementing their entry by completing the required submission form.
In accordance with the rules of the game, all entries must comply with the law as set out by The Sandbox. As such, applicants must only take inspiration from The Walking Dead series of comic books and include no unrelated content. In addition to being wholly original, of high quality, and most importantly, contain the kind of family-friendly content you’d be happy to show your grandma!
